Thanks Tom, I’ve decided to go for 9.5-inch wheels with 275/40/20 all around.
    Better safe than sorry.
    Thanks for the time man

Don't get the Nitto Motivos. They are crappy rubber to maximize the life of the tire. They had less grip than the Mickey Thompsons I had on before them.

Depending on your budget, Nitto makes some grippier tires, (NT05?), and Michelin makes some tires that combine good traction with long tread life (PS4) so they cost more but are very much worth it, from people who have bought them.

Due to experience, I would most likely go with two sets of tires: PS4 4 seasons for the cold months if I didn't have a snow problem, and some lower-tread-life tires like Nitto NT05's, Kumho Ecstas, or Michelin in their summer-only grippier tire.

I remember being out with my Tesla fanboi buddy in a surprise super snow dump one day, (near freezing temps, though, so the snow turned into a pounded-down slick pack on the road) and WOW I had to literally turn off traction control AND stability control to allow my Nitto Motivos to spin long enough to burn through the packed snow to get down to some pavement to get the car rolling at a couple places. I was fine-ish when rolling at the 20mph the traffic was going, but getting Two Ton Tessie rolling from a start on a very slight incline or flat just caused my traction and stability control to kick in and try to burn my rear brake pads up.

That was one WEIRD experience, and now, Nitto Motivos are NOT for snow, though they claimed to be four season tires :(

If you are going to experience snow, GET SNOW TIRES, even if it means buying an extra set of wheels. Those many, many little grooves they have really matter when you aren't contacting pavement but snow. Michelin makes possibly the best snow tires on the market that also has fantastic deep-pools-of-water design similar to what race cars use for deep rain driving.

This exact tire is not available for the 275/40-20 size.
The actual snow tires avaiable in 275/40-20 by Michelin are T speed rating, not Y or even W. But, not many will be going over 118mph in the snow, anyway.

Actual snow tires have many, many little micro-grooves in them to grip the snow like Velcro. No other tires need this. Notice the many, many little grooves in this tire. This is there for a reason. It is not to channel water. It is to provide many little "teeth" of snow biting up into the tread that aids in snow traction.

But, most do not drive their Challengers in actual snow, so a separate set of snow tires is not necessary.

Thanks for that site, Tom. That is a useful site, and actually exactly the type of site I was searching for to look for exactly what it shows, so I didn't have to theorize.

Now that you have all that rubber, just imagine the power that car can handle with a pair of turbos, low-overlap cam settings, a big aftercooler, and turbos sized to really start to sing at around 3500 RPM, to avoid spiking the torque too far above stock.

I've often envisioned the 3.6L V6 being suited to slapping the turbo snails right on the exhaust monoports as much as possible.

A set of pistons and conrods and some valve springs, and you should be good for around 700hp if you bump the redline up to around 8000 RPM, which this engine will handle easily, I think, with only 468 foot-pounds of torque, which will be easier on the drivetrain than a bottom-RPM-emphasizing supercharger.

An electronic boost controller and a pair of electronically-managed wastegates can keep your torque right on 460 foot-pounds for so for a wide swath of the RPM band.

Excuse me for dreaming. I think the V6 has more performance potential than Mopar gives it credit for. Especially in a much-lighter car.

Ah, with a bit more research, there are several tires available in 275/45-20

Pirelli has fallen right off the wagon with quality in the last few years, even the ones for a different Stellantis product (Maserati) are reported to be garbage, also. Stellantis must have really ticked off Pirelli.

Pay attention to the UTQG rating. Some of the tires are EIGHT HUNDRED. Don't count on eye-watering level of traction with rubber that lasts THAT long.

If you need an ultra-high performance all-season tire, I would recommend the Cooper Zeon RS3-G1 tire. That is what I have on my 2009 SRT. It is reasonably priced and wears and performs great.

    Check out the reviews.

The traction is great on dry or wet roads. Track testing has shown that they can hold 1G in the corners. I don't have a lot of miles on them, but their wear rating is a high 500AA A.

1g used to be the Holy Grail of street cars' cornering capabilities.
How do they sound at the limit? Howl? Squeak? Screech?
Aren't they made in the USA?
