Hi, I've made a couple of posts, but am new to the Dodge Challengers. I have been a Mopar fan for about 30 years now. I've owned three '69 Dodge Chargers and one '71 Plymouth Roadrunner. The Roadrunner was a Plum Crazy (Plymouth called it In Violet) 4-spd car with an air grabber hood. I loved that car and regret selling it. When the new Challengers were introduced, I had to have one and it needed to be Plum Crazy with a manual transmission. I was finally in a financial position to buy one and found one nearby that checked all of the boxes. It's the R/T with 6-spd, sun roof and the right color. It was previously damaged and the front bumper was replaced with the newer style SRT/Hellcat bumper which I like because it reminds me of the 1971 and 1972 Roadrunners.

I also just purchased a black Challenger SXT Rallye Redline with front end damage and am working on repairing it. I plan updating the front end to 2015 and newer grille.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your R/T. You will find this site very informative and a lot of fun.

I had a similar experience, as you, when I sold my 1971 340 'Cuda. To replace it, I bought a 2009 Challenger SRT.

To get a real appreciation for the Challenger, I would recommend that you read all of the informative interviews of the designers of the 2006 Challenger concept and the 2008 production car. They really give you incredible insight into how the retro-styled Challenger evolved from the drawing board to reality. Also, check out our Articles forum.

It's not too bad. The frame is straight. I have finally received all of the parts. The main problem is the front end of the left fender apron is kinked. I'm finding the metal hard to straighten. I need the radiator support to land in the proper location. I'm not a welder, so I'm going to need to get creative.
