Not in the plans for right now, but that's an interesting idea. Thanks.

Been a little busy and have not been able to work much on the car this last week. The new bumper ends and energy absorber arrived. They are now installed. I also finished bolting in the fender. I found it challenging to get it positioned correctly so that the door does not rub and there is a reasonable gap between the good and fender. The hood does not quite line up with the leading edge of the fender. The hood may be slightly tweaked. I can live with it. Pictures show that the new installed bumper endpieces are smaller than the originals and the new energy absorber is installed.

I give you a lot of credit. Not many guys would have tackled this totaled Challenger.

Correction on my earlier statement about nothing from the 2013 front bumper fitting the 2015+ front bumper except the fog lights: Turns out the fog lights don't fit either and of course the electrical connections are different because they use a different bulb. I'm ordering a used pair of lights off of ebay and found connection adapters as well.

This weekend, I installed the radiator, fan and condenser/transmission cooler. They are plumbed up. Added coolant and started it up. This is the first time since I took delivery of the car, that I've heard it run.

Airbox and headlights are now installed. Unfortunately, this is when I discovered that my replacement headlight assembly has black surrounds and not chrome. Not pictured, but I also installed the lower grill and fog lights into the bumper.

I forgot to include a photo with the fascia support installed. I was not sure where to mount the ambient air temperature sensor. You can see it near the passenger side headlight. New headlights are also installed.

Since I had mismatched headlights, I was curious about removing the lens from the chrome headlight, removing the internals and painting them black. I found that 190 F worked well for softening the headlight housing and the glue. This still turned out to be very difficult and required several cycles of heat to finish the job. The main issue is that the lens is glued on two sides and fits down into a groove. With heat I could bend the housing flange outward and then work a butter knife under the inside edge. The results were satisfactory, but the housing looks pretty messed up along the glued surface. A copious amount of silicone sealant may be required to ensure the housing is adequately sealed. Since I purchased new headlights with the chrome insert, I used the new ones.

During the headlight installation, I noticed the ball stud on the backside of the headlight assembly. It goes into a hole in the radiator support. Thinking something was missing, I found the ball socket inserts on the stevewhite webpage and ordered two. The picture shows the hole in the radiator support, the socket which pushes into the hole and the ball stud on the headlight assembly.
