Hey everyone. My name is Scott, I am 63 years old and just bought my 1st Challenger 2023 GT Plum Crazy. For years I have wanted a Challenger, I originally wanted a 1970 but I live in an apartment and no garage. Plus I thought if and when I needed parts it was going to be hard to find. So I decided on getting a modern day Challenger. I saw this car on the internet at a local dealership and was looking at it almost everyday for about 2 weeks. I decided to go check it out in person. I took it for a test drive and fell in love. For many years I have had 4 wheel drives, but living in Central Washington we don't get much snow and I hardly ever use the 4 wheel drive. So I went with my dream car and wanted to have one while I'm still young enough to enjoy it. So that's kinda my story and this is what brings me on the forum to learn a little more about the car.
Congratulations on your 2023 GT and welcome to the forum. Check out the informative interviews of the designers of the 2006 Challenger concept and the 2008 production car. They really give you incredible insight into how the retro-styled Challenger evolved from the drawing board to reality. Like a supermodel among women, who can wear absolutely anything and make it look smashing, so it is with the high-vis colors and the Mopars. Few cars have the chops to be able to (with a straight face) sport the high-vis colors like the Mopars.
