So your 2008 came with a cone air filter, and you put a blue one from a 10 model?

I imagine that 10 would bring in a pretty penny at an auction.

no it did not come with a cold air intake , i installed the mopar CAI on it when it was new and when the 10" came out i then installed the cone cover like came on the 10" (K&N) for a year or so, and then removed the complete CAI after having the car on a chassis dyno , it did not do anything as for power gain , so i went back to stock intake with a drop in k&n filter, as some of you know the stock intake pulls outside air out of the duck work from the left lower corner of the spoiler, which is the best cold air verses the mopar CAI pulls hot air from the engine compartment air which leads to heat soak. (my heat soak was gone after the switch) I personally do not like the mopar version how it looks , it 's just eye candy that does not work. the newer challengers later on with could CAI"s were much better IMO. here is the mopar spec sheet on the 10" from the dealer back in the day. Enjoy

This is a stupid idea as it will restrict the airflow. The best thing you can do us take the worthless CAI off the car. Because they will cause the engine to lose power and mileage from sucking in hot air from under the hood.

Plus, the stock air filter system is a good CAI design that will allow any water to drain out the bottom of it if any gets inside it.
