    A CROOKED SIX!!! I haven’t seen one of those in… well… a long time.

Our family had a ‘74 Dodge van with a 225 in it. Not big on power, but it was a work van. Funny thing is, when they got older, those engines developed a problem where they would stumble and almost stall when you went around a left hand corner. I heard that Chrysler came out with a fix that was a wedge-shaped plate that you put between the carb and the manifold that angled the carb to alleviate the problem. I pulled the carb off, rebuilt it, and further futzed with it, got it working better, but never could fully cure the problem.

Good memories. :D Anyone who bitches about “new-fangled” cars with fuel injection and computer control just needs to go back to the old days for a bit so they can appreciate modern technology!

Oh, by the way baccaruda, very cool engine bay! Is that an old Barracuda or Dart?

I just blew up the picture for a closer look. That thing is so Mopar! :happy107: It says “SUPER 225”! Whoa, baby. It’s got the “finger fryer” (ignition resistor), mechanical voltage regulator, single reservoir on the master cylinder. Looks like it’s in pristine condition. Do you drive it much? Must be fun to tool around in once in a while. 3 on the tree?

I was gonna guess an old Chrysler. That crossover manifold is a piece of work! Did they call that an ox horn manifold???
