Anybody remember Slick 50 (supposed to contain Teflon that bonded to cylinder walls)? I had used it and it seemed to help gas mileage. It supposedly had been run in a lawnmower engine. It was then drained and the lawnmower engine ran for a very long time without oil.

I do remember the Slick 50, don't remember if I ever used it though.

My son gave me a bottle for my lawnmower. It ruined my Briggs & Stratton engine. Pure junk!

Here is another useless product- valve stem caps that change color, from green to red, when your tire pressure is low. Totally unreliable.

Briggs & Stratton engines have been junk since the late 80's anyway.

I'm not sure it was snake oil, but there was a time you could purchase Arco Graphite oil. It had the additional graphite lubricant. Brand new oil was coal black. Your motor always looked like it was in dire need of an oil change even when the oil was fresh.
