How many of you guys have installed a retro-style MOPAR T-shift handle on your Challenger? I have one on my 2009 SRT and really like it. It reminds me of the one I had on my 1971 'Cuda- only better.
I know. Wouldn't you, at least, think they could have used something other than cheap plastic? I had to replace mine because it cracked.
Was there not a set screw fastening that 71 handle originally (I recall a set screw being used on other auto shift handles in that time period)?
It is very easy to install the metal MOPAR T-handle shifter. It is a 3-minute job. Watch the following video. Start at the 2:15 minute mark. It is very high quality and is a great interior mod. The price, however, has really gone up over the years. It now sells for $225.
