Dodge is teasing that it might unveil a 777 hp. Charger Super Bee 1320, on August 7, at Roadkill Nights.

Here is an excerpt from MoparInsiders:

"The teaser released on Dodge’s social media channels shows a swarm of bees gathered around a drag strip “Christmas tree,” the lighting system used to start a race. It is a simple image, but the message is not exactly subtle. Dodge has used bee graphics on several memorable performance cars, including the Super Bee, Scat Pack, and Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320. Pairing those bees with a starting light strongly suggests a straight-line performance focus.

A new Charger Super Bee with serious 1320-style hardware would give the brand a recognizable name, a strong visual identity, and a clear connection to the drag strip. It would also give Charger fans the dedicated grassroots drag package they never received during the previous generation.

Whether Dodge uses the Super Bee name, revives the 1320 formula, or introduces something completely new remains to be seen."

In my opinion, the Charger's body style is not bad. The big drawbacks, for me, are the high MSRP and the European-style turbo six. If I wanted an M series BMW, I would have bought one.

There are numerous non M series BMW's that used the straight 6 twin turbo which is a great platform cause they're reasonably priced with forged engine internals which allow for some incredible after market boost performance on a beer budget.

One thing you will need to keep in mind is Stellantis is trying to appeal to a broad audience of buyer's, from old guys and girls to a newer age group.

If the sales aren't their they would discontinue the product.

I like the new Charger body style, it’s nice looking, I just can’t believe how heavy they are. The Plymouth Duster was just over 3000 lbs. These new Chargers are over 5000! It’s a freakin’ bridge crusher!
