    Ralph Gilles' quotes:

Ralph Gilles said at Spring Fest 2013 and again at the 2013 New York Auto Show to Motortrend, that the revised Challenger would debut at Spring Fest 2014 and then the 2014 New York Auto show.

He even had a Freudian slip when he was talking about the SRT Core Challengers and stated they had 6.2L engines and quickly corrected himself.

On a marketing and price strategy I doubt you will see the hellcat in the core since its the bare bone version of the SRT model and the brakes will not handle the hp and torque in stopping very well . The 6.4 will be the base powerplant in the SRT8 at maybe $49k and then the hellcat adding $10k and the monster SC version another $10k. This would give the SC version $70k and yes expensive. If the SRT Avenger coupe debuts pricing fully optioned could be $80k and if it comes 3300-3400 lbs I will consider buying it as my last bucket list entry. If anyone knows more pls tell us all. Another note is the 8 speed auto may be the 8HP70 version which can handle up to 750 ft.lbs torque.

The rumored price of the new Hellcat is $80K. It will have between 640-700 hp.

    Challenger Hellcat

Every mfg sets msrp based on anticipated unit sales. $80k brings a $30k premium over the 6.4 SRT 8 which seems quite high. Although rumors are rumors I could see the lighter wgt avenger/cuda costing this much since it will have competition mainly from the Z06 which rumored again will start at $85k.
A limited production run could fetch a premium from collectors but not from a prospective SRT 8 customer. My daughters Challenger 392 is a masterpiece in a touring machine and massive neck pulling torque off the line. As a current vette owner I am going to buy either the z or new avenger/cuda in 2016. If wgt hits 3400/3500lbs and hp is 640 we could see Chrysler being king of the hill again not only on a straight line but at the tract too.

Well I guess the 'Cuda isn't out, but it seems like its going to be years before we see one. I can't wait to see the new look of the challenger and glad they aren't shelving it.

Sales manager at one of the dealers here told me that he has a customer that is willing to put up full price to be one of the first to get one.
Of course they don't know any more than us as to how much or even when that will be.
