Been going to others and then noticed you guys in google search? Just didn't pay enough attention before I guess. Thanks for the comment on the car by the way. Got it used on 12-7-13, Pearl Harbor day. Originally it had the silver stripe from front to back but the original owner must have taken it off. Got the build sheet from Dodge which showed that.
So if you know about the others, how come you decided to join here? Glad you did and hope you can bring some friends over, just curious. You wish the stripe was still there?
I'm not against another sites, I've joined several back when I first got my car. I've learned a lot from all of them and some are better than others. Just didn't realize it was a different site I guess. Maybe cause Challenger Forum sounds so generic when you Google Challenger Forums and I'm old so I don't process things like I used to, LOL. As far as the stripes, I've seen several black SRT's with silver stripes and I think I prefer what I've got. I like the red contrast of what I've added and I think it brings out the shape more. As long as I like it I'm totally Ok with it. Had a brand new 71 R/T that I bought from Mr. Norms Grand Spalding Dodge in Chicago back in late 71 so when these came out I had to have one. That's the reason I added the quarter scoops, brings back sweet memories. I still have the original window sticker, took it off with hot water and a sponge.
I just hope to see you on here alot posting up great info and questions. Thanls again for joining up here!
Came here looking for a tune-up n decided to hang out for a bit and check it out. I bought my Challenger RT Classic, in June 2010, brand freakin new!!! I got to the dealership at apx. 10am. I was driving a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 quadcab truck (red), which I liked very much but I had my eye on a Challenger for at least 6 months. Luckily I had some equity built up since the Challenger sticker gave me, yes sticker shock!!! It was about $41k, ofcourse it had all the extras I could have wanted such as NAV, kewl 20" rims, goodyear tires, leather heated seats, sun-roof (wish it was t-tops) even had a Mopar CAI. So back at the dealership the salesman was trying his best to tell me what a great deal he was offering again and again atleast 6 times. Then after I asked for me truck keys he got serious, then he got to the part were they says I'm not makin any $$$ on this deal, I let him go back to his boss once more and I could tell it was time to say yes or forget it, I got him or them to threw in a car cover and Mopar t-handle gear shift. That was the end of that then I had to decide which car I wanted the red one or stone white, so I went with the white because it had already the CAI installed. That day almost wore me out but it was fun as heck! Sorry for the long story, just felt like sharing.
