Shaker owners do our cars have clear film on front ?

    I was washing my new 2014 shaker challenger and I noticed that on both outside mirrors there is a clear film on the housings. I saw a fine line at the top front of the mirror and it wrapped around the back and also on the backs of the mirror mounts. I may have some on the front bumper too. is this something that the shakers get or is this some kind of film that is used for cars in transit and something that is supposed to be removed once at the dealer lots ? my 2013 R/T did not have a film like this. my dealer didn't know what it is for.

    My 2010 srt8 has it on the mirrors. Doug

    I have 2014 RT shaker #809, no plastic on mine. Is it something the dealer could have taken off ?
