Anyone interested in buying a 1970 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler 429 for only $4,500?

    What's the catch?

    Not this one.

The bargain car (pictured below) needs some body work and it's really a 1971 Montego- a Cyclone Spoiler poser.

1971 Montego (Compare grill and headlight trim with the fake Spoiler. They are identical).

Do you like this Cyclone better? It was the 1969 Cale Yarborough Special.

I like the Cyclone but not a rusted out craped out piece of junk! That type of car in the picture for me to load it up to move it out of the person's yard they would have to pay me 500.00 to move it to the junk yard! Here's why on a car like that you can figure on close to 100- k to restore it and that's if you do most of the work yourself. Since I've had this experience once I have decided the best way to go is find one that's already been restored and let that person take the loss while you can put gas in it and drive and enjoy it also my last restoration took six years, I'm too old now to waste six years waiting to enjoy the car!

Yea definitely. Restorations are very time consuming, then I am sure you get sized up on how deep your pockets are. Then constant time delays.

If I had the dough I would much rather research and shop. Then be done with it .
