I just bought a ‘09 srt8 and it is a fun car to drive. I’ve been a fan of the challenger since they came back, but don’t know much about them. I only bought this one because my wife loved it and I’m just curious if the ‘09 red SRT8 is decent car to own for value. Judging by her reaction I won’t be selling for a long time so hoping it holds a little value. thanks everyone this forum has been awesome for all kinds of info. Happy to e part of the challenger family.
Congratulations on your 2009 SRT and welcome to the forum! I have a 2009 SRT and still love it after 14 years of ownership. Although it has held its value, I don't expect any sizable appreciation, if any, until 20-30 years. Here are the 2009 Challenger production numbers. Only 9,580 SRTs were built that year (1,549 in Tor-Red). Check out the informative interviews of the designers of the 2006 Challenger concept and the 2008 production car. They really give you incredible insight into how the retro-styled Challenger evolved from the drawing board to reality. 2008 Challenger Designer Interview -- Segment 1 - YouTube 2008 Challenger Designer Interview -- Segment 2 - YouTube 2008 Challenger Designer Interview -- Segment 3 - YouTube Designer Interview ; Segment 4 - 2009 Challenger - YouTube Designer Interview; Segment 6 - 2009 Challenger - YouTube Dodge Challenger: Exterior Styling - YouTube Challenger Designers - Castiglione and Barrington, Part 1 - YouTube Challenger Designers - Castiglione and Barrington, Part 2 - YouTube Challenger Designers - Castiglione and Barrington, Part 3 - YouTube Challenger Designers Castiglione and Barrington Pt. 4 - YouTube Challenger Designers Castiglione and Barrington Pt. 5 - YouTube Challenger Designers - Castiglione and Barrington, Part 6 - YouTube Challenger Designers - Castiglione and Barrington, Part 7 - YouTube
