    Whats a good break in for my 13 SRT8? Its so hard not to dawg it right now, but im resisting! And should the first oil change be done at 500 miles, or does that only apply to re-builds? Please someone just tell me they come broke in lol.

    I changed my oil at the 1K mark. The car is ready to be driven. Have fun with her. Some dealers will tell you that you don't need to change the oil til the first 3K. Have fun, that is what you bought it for.

    Nice! That's kinda what I figured. I will probably still take it semi easy at first though. Man this car is fun!

    The motor has already been run at the factory. The real break-in is the trans. and differential. I followed the factory recommendations and varied the speeds and no sustained wide open throttle until 500 miles. Others have driven their Challengers "like they stole it" as soon as they bought them. I spent too much hard-earned money on my SRT and wanted to play it safe.
