Some may be aware that two days ago the Dodge website had 10 variations for colors for options on the 2013 Challenger, including SubLime and Plum Crazy. Later that afternoon the options were gone.

Many are assuming that Dodge is giving a hunt of what is to come later this year, and yet others thought this was actual fact of paints for 2013.

I have been in contact with Chrysler many times and have been told
"we have no plans to do another run of Plum Crazy purple". And Dodge has said before that GWE was the new SubLime. So I contacted Chrysler about this paint code confusion. Heck, who wouldn't want a SubLime or Plum Crazy 392?

This is (part of) the response I received

"For a short time on the Dodge brand website some prior Dodge Challenger
colors (Hemi Orange, Plum Crazy & Sublime Green) were inadvertently
displayed on the Challenger page. These colors are not available for
    factory order and were removed.

According to our provided resources the following exterior paint colors
are available for factory order on the 2013 Dodge Challenger models:
Black Clear Coat, Bright White Clear Coat, Granite Crystal Metallic
Clear Coat, Jazz Blue Pearl Coat, Redline 3 Coat Pearl."

Now this does not say they will not be available at a later date, it simply says that those colors are not available at this time to order and explains the website

Apparently there is one dealer taking deposits for 2013 plum crazy "cars". I asked about Sublime and was told it will not be available.

Another twist is, there is another dealer that is taking deposits for a "green that will be available in March, 2013".

Why can't Dodge just be forthright with information?
