I'm embarrassed to ask, but, I don't want to break anything.
How do I remove the plastic engine cover ?

    It just pulls off.

When you reinstall it, spray the top of the mounting studs with silicon so that the cups pop on easy and the cover fits flush.

    Thanks for your reply. But,
I'd like to know how to remove the cover in the first place ? Does the cover just pop off , or are there hidden snaps that will break if you pull up on the cover ?

    Thanks,
I will use the spray before replacing.

No hidden snaps, just pull up.

Here is a video clip of the removal of an engine cover for a VW Golf. It is basically the same procedure for the Challenger.
