Unique Hood Scoop

The Pro Stock teams, or at least one of them, found that the giant snorkel scoop they use (modern era rounded version) added ZERO drag to the car in the wind tunnel, and those are some mighty slick cars, so they would have noticed.

My conclusion from this is that I am free to add any scoop I want without concern about drag.

 

Though Ford had a shaker scoop also on at least one of their mustangs, the Hemi with a Shaker is far more iconic.

The first-gen-Hellcat scoop was functional in that it blew cold air right across the lid of the supercharger, which was the place where the heat from the compressed air could be reduced before it reached the aftercooler bricks.

 

The scoop would be good for the track. B, to drive around, I would not want to get caught in a heavy rainstorm with it.
