I was wondering if the place that "upfits" the Challengers would add some chassis reinforcements.

I read the site, and they evidently add some chassis reinforcements to the cars.

Also, they are not doing Hellcats straight from Dodge. Maybe Dodge thought the resale-value-to-profit-margin-for-themselves-ratio was too high?

    I quote:

The conversion is available for Dodge Challenger R/T, R/T Scat Pack, and SRT models. The final Challenger SRT Hellcats will not be eligible for the treatment. The cars will carry the Stellantis warranty of 3 years, 36,000 miles on the unmodified parts and 5 years, 60,000 miles on the powertrain. Drop Top Customs will warranty its components for 3 years, 36,000 miles.

When the Challenger was originally designed, in 2008, Dodge considered making a convertible, but it thought that it wouldn't be profitable. Now, for its last year, it will allow Drop Top Customs to modify existing Challengers to give buyers something different and increase sales.

If you are interested in getting this conversion done, I would encourage you to contact Drop Top Customs and talk with the owner.

After visiting the shop in Florida twice in 2 weeks, and touring the entire shop, had a fairly good understanding of how much work and reinforcement went into these cars to make them convertibles. I ordered a new 2021 SPWB, and had it shipped directly to the shop.

At that time, I was told that the shop had an agreement with Dodge that they could also do these conversions on their own and bypass the dealer markup for the conversion.

I have been extremely happy with their conversion, and it still handles great.

Great looking conversion. What was the cost?
