I bought mine to drive. I have a front wheel drive, if roads are bad.

Like others have stated, I drive it in the winter, but not in the snow. I wait till the snow has melted and the sun/wind has dried the roads completely.

I drive mine in the winter. This morning, my doors were frozen shut. It took a hard pull on the handles to even get the handles to move. I was afraid to pull harder, because I don't want to break something. I ended up driving my trusty 1996 Dodge Ram to work this morning as a result.

If any of you encounter the frozen door issue, what do you do? I'm thinking of buying a portable air dryer and go around the perimeter. By the way, I tried moderate pounding on the windows and doors. I did get the driver's side window to drop, but the door would not open.

Sometimes, in very cold weather, the rubber window seal may stick to the door. To prevent this, some owners use silicone spray or RainX. Others swear by Gummi Pflege, a German rubber conditioner product.

Amazon.com: nextzett 91480615 'Gummi Pflege Stift' Rubber Care Stick - 3.4 fl. oz

Here’s a Step-By-Step Guide on How To Open a Frozen Car Door Safely

    1) Grab a pump spray bottle of window cleaner.
    2) Add 90% isopropyl alcohol to the window cleaner. If you don’t have a window cleaner or a spray bottle, mix water, and isopropyl alcohol in this ratio: 8 oz 90% alcohol to 16 oz water. A water-alcohol mix has a lower freezing point than water alone, and it can melt ice.
    3) On your spray bottle, turn the nozzle to shoot a stream rather than a mist. If you dont’ have a spray bottle, use a turkey baster.
    4) Spray the water/alcohol mix around the door frame or frameless window. Start at the top of the window/door frame and squirt the solution around the glass/door frame. Continue adding the mixture until the door/window starts to give a little.
    5) Continue adding the solution until the door is open.

Don’t do these things to unfreeze a frozen car door

    • Don’t pour hot water on frozen glass. The drastic heat difference can cause the glass to shatter.
    • Don’t use a heat gun.
    • Don’t pry it open.
    • Don’t use any petroleum-based lubricant like WD-40. It will damage the rubber weather stripping.

Down here in East Texas I drive mine in the winner on nice sunny days. Don't mind the cold just don't like wet weather because I like the underside to stay clean. Same goes with my other toys!

My vehicle is driven in all seasons. Northeast winters require me to use winter tires, 265/45R20 on custom rims 9 X 20. The traction control is better off when I'm parking the vehicle and the road is covered in snow/ice.
