WOW ... that's a nice gun! Can't shoot nothing like that in IDPA. The Wife shoots a SIG 1911 (9mm) and my match gun is a S&W 1911 in .45. We haven't really shot much in the last 5 months. Got warm the other day and we went out, but didnt shoot as well as we would've liked. Ya gotta practice, OFTEN, it's a perishable skill. You shoot? (Oooops, I didnt put "Tennis" in front of Doubles League in my other post). Gonna be a busy summer ...

PORTED! That ought to be a touch loud. My EDC is a SIG Nitron Compact, 1911 CCO platform (Commander Slide, Officer's Grip). I use a Cross Breed Supertuck. I love that holster. If I had to do it over I would buy one from Comp-Tac where you can switch out the Kydex half shell so you have the same holster and carry different weapons AND its "tuckable". I went to a Formal gathering and when I took off my jacket you couldn't tell I was carrying a .45 under my dress shirt. It's really comfortable for an IHB holster.

We shoot local Falling Steel and IDPA matches. This year we're gonna step it it a touch and Shoot a Tier 3 IDPA Match in VA. Gonna make it a mini vacation, sight see on the way dn, shoot the match and sight see on the way back. Can't wait ...

Nice Springfield! I have a TRP that I rebuilt and just love, but here is my carry gun that I prefer. Alot of people don;t give the Hi-Power credit, but it's a great firearm.

I always found it funny that John Moses also designed the Colt 1911 pistol, as well as the water-cooled 1917, the 1919, and M2 MG's

Ah ... the MA-Deuce, love that sound (although my primary weapon system was the M60).

He was also issued 128 Firearm Patents, invented the .32 acp, the .45 acp, the first semi-automatic shotgun, etc, etc, etc ..

One of my favorite cartoons ...
