I remember seeing some demonstration videos where yellowish light revealed more of the road and roadsides with more clarity. I think the white light tended to wash out details making it harder to discern deer against the background. As a driver who's getting up there in years, I'm really starting to struggle with seeing when there are oncoming cars on two-lane roads. I don't know if it's these old eyes or the overly bright headlights of new vehicles.

I have been waiting years for LED tech to mature.

it seems to have done so, and the array of colors and intensities you can get exceeds HID's now, but with decent reliability, too.

I was less than thrilled to find that the HID lights in my Hellcat weren't the eyeball-roasting Cathedral of Lights I was hoping for.

But, if I want intense, I could always step up to LED's, and i want ridiculously intense as an option, as in, I would want some driving light bullets I could float ahead of the brake ducts to absolutely high-noon-wash the road ahead when there was no oncoming traffic.

I would REALLY like to do that. Driving lights that make it look like high noon in Nevada when driving at night. No sense having any less when on a lonely road. Of course, they would be shut off on a hint of oncoming traffic.

But, those 3am roads in the middle of nowhere, they were made for megalumen light outputs.

I'd like to hear/see about how easy it is to change the bulbs.
