It depends on the brand of tires and how wide you actually go..... and if you want to go with a little wider tire you can. And if you need a little more clearance from suspension rub you can always run a 1/4 spacer As long as you get a minimum of 6 full turns on the lug nut, you will be fine. I run the spacers on many customers Challengers and other brand of cars And I still do . If you go back in time on the Camaro Iroc Z they came from the factory with 1/4 spacers on the rear and also the front and rear wheel studs are the same length too. So if you want to run a little wider tire you can, I think the other fellows pictures prove that even with out spacers. Now this applies to factory wheels and lug nuts. I have ran spacers on my Challenger since 2008 , problem free. 1/4 is max as far as safety unless you go longer wheel studs, I like the looks myself .

Hi guys as far as tires and wheels go, Im getting ready to make the change, Ive stock performance brakes and stock 20x8 factory rims. Im collecting the parts as we speak. I have a set of DBA discs, kangaroo slotted, and Power Stop Extreme pads to go with them, also braided brake lines all around, the pads come in a kit so I have everything. Im waiting for the back lines though should be this week so target next weekend for brakes. Im using the stock calipers, performance brakes so the window sticker says and I can't find replacements I like or can afford. I thought maybe, the Mopar made hellcat brake set-up was the bomb, but it's 4k, Maybe someday?
As far as tires and wheels, American racing's boss TT's (vn338), the silver w/black centers, Im looking at 20x 8.5's to start then If I like them, Yes size matters, Ill get the 20x10's for the rear. The car is white so the black should look great. I was thinking maybe HellCat 50th anniversary's but then I saw another R/T with them. I would like to be a bit different. Im gonna put the Boss Knock-off's on this too with Crome lugs as well. I actually saw a 69 camaro with a similar set-up so It should look Bitching.......
I kind of like the AAR look, The AAR Cuda/Challenger's were only produced during the year of 1970. The AAR 'Cuda was produced to race in the SCAA road racing and to compete with the Ford Mustang. AAR actually means 'All American Racers'.

Still waiting for someone to say, "That's too much tire for a Challenger."

This is in reference to ANY tire of any size. Never heard it yet. Don't think I ever will.

They look real good man, congrats
to fill in the wheel well in the rear you could have went 1 size taller, off set, front to rear, but like that you can rotate..
Most important thing is you love it......

I'm also thinking on becoming a member of the capital city Mopar club, seems to be a bunch of pretty cool guys that love their Mopars.
