The ironic part is how cheap gasoline is now.

Ed, you mentioned how loud your R/T is. Are you running an aftermarket system or anything? If so, can you reply with what you have done? I'm asking because I was going to do the resonator delete until I red that it give a bad droning inside the car on an automatic between 1-2,000 rpm.

    Hi Jerry
I did the resonator delete on my R/T, long tube headers, stock cats, stock mid-mufflers. Its loud when I want it to be but at crushing speed I dont find it to bad. Mine is a six speed though and I never run below 2000 RPM.

Thanks. Originally I was going to do the FlowMaster American Thunder CAT back system with resonator delete, but then I started hearing about the drone with A8 transmissions. I'll still hold off until I hear from someone with the 5.7 and A8 for confirmation.

I'm also interested in talking exhaust but rather than hijack this thread, I'm going to start a new one.

My '13 is my daily driver. However, since I'm retired it doesn't get a daily long drive to and from work. It's more like to and from the golf course, shopping, and having fun. I purchased it in February, 2017 with around 35,000 miles on it. It's now getting close to 73,000 miles.

Dodge Customer Care sent me the following info:

    I was told mine was 1 of 16; 15 R/T Plus Shaker 5.7, 8 sp A/T, sunroof, Black w/black striping/black int.
While at Carlisle 2019 I didn't see another one like it on Saturday. Don't know about Thur., Fri. or Sun. There are a lot of black Challengers but not w/Shaker I guess??

Mine is a 2018 T/A 392 and for canada there were only 3 in redline red, 2 of those were automatics like mine so i guess pretty uncommon

The only mod done was the exhaust replacement from the cat back with a Flowmaster Thunder kit. Sorry I don't remember the exact kit part no. I do have mufflers but no resonators. The kit was a perfect fit right down to the tips. I told my mechanic what model I wanted and assumed that is what he purchased. I never really checked if it was the series I ask for. He may have substituted a louder series to his liking over mine. It was hard to compare to the sound samples given by Flowmaster on the internet.
