I knew that, I just worded it oddly.

2017 R/T "Convertible"; Octane Red, with Black Top Package. Don't see a lot of them.

Did you have the conversion done or did you buy the car that way?

When I was hunting for a replacement for my Cobra, I really wanted a convertible. I gave some thought to a convertible Challenger but was ultimately talked out of it by a couple people. I'd really love to be able to check one out in person and test drive one. Could be cool to convert my Widebody.

Car was new. I had the convertible conversion made by Drop Top Customs in High Springs, Fl. fresh off the dealers lot. Not cheap, but well worth the time and money. I especially like the fact that as a big guy I am way more comfortable than in the Camaro and Mustang convertibles I test drove.

The electric top and rear window control motors are connected directly to the battery which doesn't put the factory electrical system warranty in jeopardy. Also, three extra stabilizing bars were welded in the frame for stability now that the hard top is removed. No problems in 3-years of use.

Drop top customs has a great website.
