He had done all the fabrication himself. Really surprised me because the car was very professionally done.

    I still toy with chopping the top off my car but I'm very sure that I'd be killing the car by doing it. One of my favorite things about my car is how solid it feels. How well it handles. I would be compromising those qualities to have a convertible.

    Dodge considered the idea of a convertible when the Challenger originated in 2008, but thought that the market was not there for it to be profitable.

    Drop Top Customs makes a solid convertible out of out cars, even the 4 door chargers as well.

    Yes, and their facility isn’t too far from me. I would need to see their build process in person and test drive a finished car before committing. I have a good deal of experience with cutting and reinforcing cars having worked for a coach builder years ago. We stretched all kinds of vehicles. And then for many years before that working in the livery industry and consulting for Cadillac engineering on their livery vehicles. I’ve seen first-hand what happens when start cutting cars apart.
