That really is the joker on EV's. Battery replacement can be upwards of $25,000. Yikes... to put it mildly.

The Dodge Charger Daytona is arriving at dealerships. It is a nice looking car, but very expensive. The R/T Stage 1, with 496 hp., will list for $60K, the Scat Pack Stage 2 model, with 670 hp., at $67K and the Scat Pack 2 Pitch Black, at $82K. These figures do not include options such as custom paint, blacktop, Plus Group, Sun & Sound and red seats.
