Yep. I remember using the old school oil spout.

However, I prefer using the grandfather's oil can. No runs. No drips. No errors.

We had a couple of those out on the Farm growing up.
Always a bitch keeping Bugs and dirt out of them, but for the tractors and farm trucks it worked great :)

They are call "bee hive covers." I got them and the fuse box cover from Billet Technology.

Which is why I keep mine covered with an Auto Zone or Pep Boys bag.

I put one on my 13 Challenger RT and it definitely catches oil! I couldn’t imagine not having one on this engines.

I installed an exh/PCV-EVAC system into the exhaust and removed the PCV Valve. I drilled and tapped the screwy looking threads in the 6.1 intake for NPT to accept a barbed fitting, and connected it to a catch can and then ran the catch can to the check valve/ventury on the exh system. My Billet Tech catch can was not catching all of the oil and I still had oil puddling up in the intake.

We'll see how the new setup works soon. Putting it back together today.

A catch can traps a nasty brew of oil, gasoline, water and acids.

Although that's an old racers trick, it probably won't play well with modern computer controlled engines. Reason being that the PCV valve is technically a vacuum leak. One that's accounted for in the ECM programming. By removing the PCV valve you're skewing the programming. It's also quite possible that you've provided a path for exhaust and all that nasty crap from your catch can to recirculate into the intake.
