I will stick with the Green Slime as it got me out of a situation and as advertised it didn't mess up the tire pressure monitors.
It could be that the tire repair shops tell them not to use that stuff as I have been told not to use. But if you are in a jam stranded you will use this remedy. It could be that the tire shops don't like the mess and clean up they must do?
I had some goop for my tires. I never put it in because I didn't go on many long lonely trips, and the Hellcat has filler/air pump included in the trunk.
I have heard that you can leave the green goop in the tire and continue to drive the tires as they are as long as there is a seal. I didn't do that. I just ended up getting all new 3 tires.
One advantage of the truck-grade stuff I studied was its remaining liquid even at very-sub-freezing temps. I think it may contain a large proportion of propylene glycol. I dream of a long, grippy, flat, bare, highway in minus 50 or so conditions to check my various temperatures. One would want snow tires just so the rubber was soft enough at that temperature, I think.
