I put my mud flaps on within a week of getting the car, they don't use sand or pea gravel here in the winter we call them boulders. lol

A friend that uses his as a daily driver literally had no paint left behind his front wheels after only a few months in the late winter / early spring.
I have pics. in the garage part of the forum.

Man, That sure is alot for 4 pieces of plastic! Any body else have web site for them? Advanced Auto says they can order some called proform, but I like to see products before I buy them. They were only 11.99 per set.

An option to mud flaps is to use 3M protective film.

    To mud flap or not

I am going for the 3M protection film. I will let you know it works out.

I researched the 3M stuff for the front of the Challenger. But, there seems to be mixed opinions about the stuff turning yellow after a while. They use sand and road de-icer on the roads here. And the combination destroys the paint.

I used the film on my 12 RT and I would give them mixed reviews. While the front end stayed well protected, the quarter panels chipped/peeled off fairly easy and I had to pay to replace them. While it does maintain the sleeker appearance, I think the factory flaps are fairly subtle that I may apply them to my SRT when I purchase in 2106. I will use the film for the front end again, very worthwhile, in my opinion.

I used ZL1 mud flaps. They use existing holes, and I don't even notice them.

I still haven't installed the mud flaps. What is a "ZL1" ? I'm embarrassed to say, but, after almost a year I've only put about 8,000 on the "Mantis". Actually I only put on about a 2,000 miles and my wife put on the rest driving to work.
I think it may end up getting parked over the winter.
