So now I get an antifreeze smell on the drivers side, I am thinking lower rad hose. Why they have to use crap plastic radiators? I guess I'll have to crawl under for this one.

I'll be doing an oil change soon, I'll make checking the rad part of the fun.

So sniffing around, got a sweet smell around the rad cap, I hope it's this simple. Must be because I opened it for the previous problem?

Also took it for a ride today, was nice seeing the sun shine on the hood as I cruised.

Not using coolant, other than what I lost during previous repair.

Smell was definitely at the cap.

Yes, I have pumped it up with a pump before, minor leaks don't always show.

I took it off the cap when it cooled down, and the black rubber was deteriorating, I put it back on, went for a ride, and no smell. I have the heat extractors on my hood, so I don't even have to open it to smell it. Cap must have reseated, I'll replace it, and move along.

Thanks for the help and suggestions.

I didn't see no sign of oil in the coolant, when I drained it, but I'll take another look, I would assume the oil would go into the cooling system from oil pressure, and not so much the other way.

Thanks for the heads up, I assume it's not a recall type of thing?

I agree, should be a recall, if engines are grenading.
I thought the police used 5.7s, with a 5 speed slush box?

This site says I have no recalls.

PS call me, Bob, or Blue, Sexy sounds kind of weird, coming from a guy.

That don't look like a hard part to change, you'd think they would do a recall.

What would the dealer do, if it's out of warranty?

Antifreeze looks fine, I have seen what it looks like when it's not on other vehicles.

It went from a hose leak, to a cap leak once I disturbed the cap, not gonna sweat it.

    New cap on, problem solved.

You're all gonna hate me, I sold it!

I'll post up all the goodies I want to sell once I get them sorted out.

Been a fun year, but If I own a car like that it has to be pedal the metal roaring, I learned to slow it down, and decided what is the point in a 485 HP car, where you drive the speed limit. I am moving to a new state in a couple of months, it has 20 Acres, and a dirt bike track. I will buy a dirt bike for adrenaline release, plus guns, fishing poles, all the things Americans like.
