Yesterday, I took my 2015 SP to a Dodge Dealership to have the recall on the uconnect taken care of. The parts manager then scheduled me to come back in a week to replace the rubber valve tire stems with metal ones. Stated it was not a recall but an upgrade at no cost from Dodge, and includes the TPMS sensor. Anyone else have this done yet?
First one I've heard about. Possibly a Scat Pac item that was missed in the factory and enough people noticed it to get Dodge to do something about it.
Thank you sounds about right I was curious since I couldn't find anything on it Thanks again Challengeme
Interesting that they would go to metal valve stem caps. My 2009 SRT has gray plastic caps to prevent corrosion due to electrolysis and a malfunction of the TPMS. The new metal valve caps must have insulating plastic linings.
Well just scheduled the SP for the valve stem upgrade. The dealer will be replacing the entire rubber stem and TPMS with a metal one. I was hoping it was just the cap as some were suggesting. They stated they have to break down all 4 wheels and replace the entire stem with a metal on... Check your local dealers to get yours done no cost to you...
