I am sure that this information is on the site somewhere but I cannot find it. If anyone has a 2015 shop manual could you provide me with the correct torque for the oil drain plug. I am guessing between 20-25 Ft Lbs but want to be exactly correct. Thanks in advance.
Thank you very much SRT-Tom. I suspected that was the correct torque but it pays to be sure. I plan to buy a shop manual for my 2015 in the near future so I won't have to ask any more rudimentary questions. Thanks again!
No. The rubber seal in the drain plug does not have to be replaced and should last a very long time. I did 40+ oil changes on my 2001 Ram before I traded it. The seal on the drain plug (same design as on the current Challengers) was still good after all that time.
