Hello, I am planning to buy a Dodge challenger SRT 392 or 392 ScatPack with Shaker. Can anyone tell me the difference between SRT 392 6.4L HEMI V8 - 23K package and SRT 392 6.4L HEMI V8 - 24K package Also can you tell me which one will be better in terms of performance. Parameters: 1. 0-60 fastest. 2. Shares same exhaust as HellCat. I want something exact similar to hell cat, without the supercharger and 707 HP. Can anyone suggest me anything please. Thanks Alien.
The performance from both 392 option groups will be the same. The shaker is primarily for looks. You cannot get the Hellcat exhaust on a 392. The Hellcat's exhaust note was custom-engineered for it using an electronically controlled exhaust valve. The 2.75-inch, straight-through, twin-exhaust system includes durable, double-walled exhaust manifolds and ceramic catalysts capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1,922° Fahrenheit (1,050° Celsius).
I have owned 4 different Corvettes over the years and I currently own a 2016 392 Scat Pack which has the SRT engine. I absolutely love it. Comparing a 4200 pound Challanger of any variation to Corvettes or other lighter sport cars specifically designed and tuned for twisty road courses is ridiculous. Spending the approximate 7 thousand dollars more for the wider tires, slightly better brakes and performance suspension upgrades on the SRT is an expense I personally couldn't justify. To me it is like spending thousands modding a Harley Davidson trying to compete with a Sport Bike. Don't waste the money. Just buy the sport bike. All those upgrades make the Challanger perform slightly better at what it was never designed to do well. If you have that kind of cash go for it because they are cool. It just wasn't an expense I could easily afford or justify for myself. Recommend you go by a dealer and ask to test drive both so you make a well informed decision.
