Name's Jon, from Barrie, Ontario. Been lurking long enough, figured it's time to join. Don't own a Challenger yet, but next spring I'm pulling the trigger. Happy to be here.

I test drove a Yellow Jacket a couple weeks ago, and a guy near me is practically giving away a PCP 6.1, but I'm focused on a more modest RT. It's going to be my daily.

Well srt can be daily too.. You can feel the difference between srt and rt for sure.
I was thinking rt first too but theres no regrets doing SRT. ALtho it was 10k more expensive and the tax here was more expensive too.. :)

But if you want to keep in your set budged id pick little bit older srt than newer rt.. :)

The R/T would be a good choice for a daily ride because of its better gas mileage (due to MDS). However, if the SRT is in great shape, with low mileage, I would recommend that you consider it.

With the SRT you get a more powerful engine, Brembo brakes, Bilstein shocks, a more aggressive exhaust, SRT custom seats, forged aluminum wheels, an aluminum intake manifold, etc.

Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE an SRT! I fell in love with the Yellow Jacket when I drove it....easily the most powerful car I've ever driven. I stepped on it and my sunglasses ended up in the back seat! And the Brembo's were like the hand of god stopping that car! Question though....I was warned that Brembo's are very expensive to replace. What are your thoughts on this?

You are not in for a big expense.

Pads are fairly inexpensive- only cost $154 for all four wheels. The big expense is if you ever have to replace the 4-piston calipers.

The best part about Brembo brakes is that the pads can be replaced quickly and easily (for racing). Watch these DIY videos. The first is the quickest and most common way. The second, is a longer and more comprehensive procedure.

Heh! Thanks, Cruiser. Happy to be here. So, I made some calls this weekend and I've set up test drives for a 2008 SRT8 (Canadian 500 car) and a 2014 RT. Honestly, I'm leaning towards the RT.....
