Hid bulb replacement.

    I own a 2011 RT, does anyone know how to replace the headlight hid bulb? Thanks

    You do not need to remove any body work, just the black plastic covers (2) under the hood between the radiator mount and the nose of the car. However, changing the HID bulbs is hindered by poor access and almost no visibility. You have to do most of the work by feel. A small round mirror on a rod may help to see where your fingers needed to go. You need patience, but swapping bulbs is doable in 30-60 minutes if you don't mind scraping up your hands and wrists. Here are the 6 steps:

    Step 1: Remove radiator shroud (not necessary to remove the hood or front valance)

    Step 2: Remove rubber grommet covering the stock bulb

    Step 3: Open the clip and pull it off the bulb housing

    Step 4: Pull bulb out and remove the wiring harness attached to the bulb.

    Step 5: Attach wiring harness to new BFxenon 8000K replacement D1S bulb

    Step 6: Place bulb back into housing and re-attach the clip.
