Is the Challenger SE V-6 a decent car. I have talked about the other car but out of my price range right now. But I can get a brand new Toxic orange SE or Black SE that I can affored . I thought I could drive it a year or two and move up to the RT.
You are right. I thought for sure I had a deal done on the RT. Than they call me and tell me that they couldnt get the payment where I needed it. I wanted the envy green or the orange paint. Well the dealer had one RT green and one SE orange. While I was waiting for the RT to be brought back from the bank where they had it I was checking out the SE while I waited. So when the RT didnt pan out they offered me a very good deal on the SE. So I just had to decide on the spot so I passed on it. I mean it was a buetiful car I just cant get past the V6.
Keep with the car you want... whatever it is... otherwise you'll always be second-guessing yourself (Been there-done that!) and perhaps the "walk-away" will inspire your dealer to lower the price ... never know!
There is nothing wrong with getting a V6 if you just want a cool looking car for transportation. It steps out from an intersection just fine. I mean, how quick do you have to get to 25, 30 or 35 MPH? On most freeway ramps you will be exceeding the speed limit by the time you reach the highway. Now, if you are looking for those occasional bursts of energy, then you should get the R/T. It have seen $32K R/Ts and $32k SEs. I all depends if you want the power or the options. Without knowing what your budget is, it is hard to recommend the right car for you. If you just want the looks sitting in your drive or sitting behind the wheel, then go SE. If you want to play, you will have to get the HEMI.
I gotta agree. The SE is a very respectable Challenger. I was in the same boat you are in. I bought the SE and enjoyed it a ton. A V8 is great, but do you want payments like a house payment. All the Challengers look awesome and there is not anyone that doesn't like them. You can do the same mods to an SE that you can an R/T. Go with your gut feeling. If the SE feels right then buy it. If not wait and see what happens. Good Luck with your choice. I know it is not an easy one.
SE is an excellent car but it is all show with moderate go. Awesome looking cruiser and daily driver. plenty of go for the average driver. Tomorrow is NOT guaranteed.
I was also thinking an R/T first but there were no good individuals so i choosed and srt and havent regret it even nano second Just go for the car you want, even if you need to wait for long time. If your not buying what you want you might have regrets and that's not good.. good luck any path you choose..
