When I bought my challenger. I noticed the front tires looked like the camber was tilted in at the top. I had the dealer redue the alignment and the car came back the same way. I compaired to other challengers on the lot and they looked the same way. Is this normal? the car drives straight and seems fine bu, looks off to me. Im use to seeing the wheels straight up and down. has anyone else noticed this?
I bought a used 2013 Challenger RT with 16,000 miles on it several months ago. Recently I noticed that the camber looked to be off. The tires had a lot of negative camber, (tilted in at the top). With that being said, I took the car to an alignment shop for a four-wheel alignment. The tech checked the alignment and he confirmed that there was a lot of negative camber. According to what he told me, there apparently is no adjustment for the camber and said he could do nothing to change it. He did offer to install a set of adjustable ball joints from NAPA if I wanted to change the camber settings. He said the current setup though, according to his documentation, is correct to factory specs. I chose to leave the car as it is as long as I don't begin to experience excessive tire wear on the inside tread of the front tires. The negative camber does aide in the handling of the car which is a positive. My car does have the "Track Pack" option which among other things has a different suspension setting with different from standard shocks, brakes, tires, wheels, etc. I don't know if that is the reason for the front-end setup or not though.
