Ceramic coating

Just put splash guards on this weekend on Ruby... my 2018 T/A. They look pretty decent. Thinking on maybe getting next a ceramic coating or a protective wrap done. Has anyone had either of them done? Are they worth the money? Any pros or cons to either. I want to preserve and protect the satin black hood, top, and truck. As well as the beautiful high octane red paint.
Already put 1200 miles on it since I bought it 2 weeks ago, I do alot of driving to say the least. Lol
Appreciate any experiences with either coating. The weather's always kinda unpredictable here in Iowa in the spring. As seen in the pic. Cant keep the car clean!

 

Nice car......great color combo.......I'd like to know the answer to this question too. Never heard of the process but as a new owner of an '18 Ta myself........I'd like to hear more about this too. On a side note......is that road salt all over your new car?

Not salt but road spray. It was raining off and on when pic was taken. Also I didn't have splash guards installed on it yet, but I do now.
On the ceramic coating, I researched and decided on opti-coat pro. Car is scheduled to be done on Thursday through Saturday.

I went with the "Ceramic Pro", no complaints what so ever.
Just hose off the grime and a light wipe car looks better than new. Had it done last June, a couple of days later some little shit in an
old pick up pulled up beside me at the local store hit the side of the door with his and then moved and parked 2 spaces over. I don't think he realized I was coming out of the store when he did it. He won't be doing that again any time soon.
All it did was slightly scuff the coating, took it back and the shop gave it a quick wipe down with their stuff and you can't tell it even happened.

 

Thanks.......I'm gonna look into doing this myself........the TA stripes on the side, hood, roof and deck lid out back.......BIG ASS pieces looking to get scratched......it'd be a shame.......if this works to toughen them up a bit against the damage......sounds a like "win" for sure.

Hello Waylav, Very nice car. It's been a little over a month now and I'm wonder what your thoughts are on the ceramic coating. It's had plenty of time to get dirty so I'm wondering if it still looks as nice (after washing the dirt off of course) as the pics? Would you say that the hood, roof, trunk and spoiler have retained most of satin/matte look? I've read mixed reviews, not specifically on the treatment you had done but similar ceramic treatments so I'm a little apprehensive about shelling out $1,000.00 plus for a coating that might add shine to the satin (a slight amount I could live with). I have a 2018 T/A 392 and I really love it but I'll be damned if I knew how much trouble satin paint was when I bought it
