We all know that the Challenger can lose more than a few pounds. With less weight, it will be faster without a need to boost horsepower. When a new engine is developed to replace the Hemi, why can't FCA use an aluminum block, like Ford and GM, instead of a "stone-age" cast iron block? This, alone, would shave hundreds of pounds off the front end and also improve handling. A win-win. And, while they are at it, why not go to a DOHC 32-valve engine, like the Ford Coyote and Voodoo engines? Also, a MagnaRide shock setup would be nice. What would you guys like to see? How about twin turbos?
I guess I'm old school, I prefer a cast iron block. Also, have a 2001 Mustang GT Bullitt which has the iron block SOHC as well as my Challenger.
