Good morning. I have a 2010 Challenger, 3.5/V6. For the past few years I have been having a loud clicking noise in my dash board when I unlock the car/get in the car. It also happens when I am sitting in the car, about 5 minutes after I shut off the engine and when I adjust the a/c control dial. I took it to a mechanic and found out that it was my actuators in my dash board. He also said that they don't carry the parts and that he would have to buy them from the dealership. So I would be better off going to the dealership to get it repaired. I took it to the dealership and they estimated a few thousand dollars to fix it. This was a few years ago, so those parts might be available elsewhere now. Does anyone know where to get these actuator parts? I damn sure don't want to have to pay a few grand to have it done back at the dealer.

I had to have my actuator replaced on my 2010 challenger. I think cost about $300. I had my mechanic do it. It was in the dash. It was necessary for the ac to work.

I replaced the actuator behind the glovebox area for about 25 dollars and the part has a lifetime warranty.2013 Challenger RT. It was clicking and the gear shaft inside the thing was broken and skipping gear teeth. It was a tight area to work tho
