Aparrently my GWE had been sitting on the lot for a while waiting for me to come and buy it. There has been a lot of construction in the town I live in all summer long, and the dealer didn't do a very good job of taking care of the car... The paint is good, but my stripes have some really bad swirl marks in them. Any recommendations for getting those out of there??
Are the stripes vinyl or painted on? If they are painted on you could probably use a Porter Cable polisher and some quality polish to remove the swirls. If the stripes are vinyl give this video a watch, I know it's all Camaros but the folks at Adam's Polishes know their stuff. I am a dealer for Adam's so I'm a little biased. Hope this is helpful. The stripes are vinyl, which is soft. That's why I want to make sure I do it right, don't want to make it worse by being too aggressive. Thanks for the video! That helped! I may look into the Adam's polishes...
Good deal, wasn't sure about your stripes but the video will definitely help you. If you plan to look and buy, there is a special 15% off until Wednesday, use this code: BLACKFRIDAY11
Way to help someone out. Thanks for passing along the special. Everything you can save on parts and materials is a big help.
Yeah it's a great deal, I do not benefit from this code at all. Just passing along some savings. Plus free shipping for orders over $150.
I have used Meguires detail spray on my stripes for the past three years and they look as good as new.
