Lived in Happy Valley / Portland back in the day. Lived in a real nice house on 7 acres that bordered a park. Driveay was about 1000' lined with walnut trees. Had a huge rustic white painted barn. Apple trees, pear trees, cherry trees, blueberry bushes and mom had 2 gardens, 1 flower and the other vegetables etc. Huge pine trees about 200 years old that bordered the property. I went there in 2004 and everything was gone. The entire property. was mowed down and there were houses side x side with nothing but about 10 feet between each house... The park with the baseball field was gone. I was disgusted... Where are the Goonies when you need them!
We have 6-acres we bought over 20 years ago, about 25-miles WEST of Hillsboro. So far, we have kept the "Keep PDX Weird" crowd away.
