Here is a photo of a 2019 Challenger. The major styling difference from 2018 is the Hellcat hood and front spoiler.

All R/Ts will have Super Track Pack now as standard equipment.

And with two different performance handling packages available for the R/T, you can get up to 4-piston Brembo brakes and Hellcat wheels and 275 tires. All this is great for future R/T owners but not so much for Hellcat owners, whose cars lose their exterior uniqueness.

In the interest of sales, it seems that Dodge is taking a page out of GM's book when it started putting ZR-1 'Vette bodywork on the standard models., and when higher end model bodywork started showing up on the lower trim levels of the Camaro as an optional package w/o the engine, suspension parts of the higher level model.

I guess this is similar to what the buyers of the 2008-2010 models experienced. At that time, it was speculated that the Challenger would have a limited run, just like it did in the 70s, and that the cars would be collectible due to their scarcity. Now over 500,000 have been produced.

Yes. This hood is standard on all the 2019 R/Ts. The SXTs will retain the 2018 twin scoop hood.

Far cry from the original ‘70-‘71 Challenger/Cuda style.

    I’ll keep my 2010 SRT

It is a little reminiscent of the one on the 1970 AAR 'Cuda.

    That's a bit of a stretch.
But in both cases, AAR or Hellcat/Demon,
it looses it "Limited Run" or "Special Edition" status, if all of a specific year has the same hood & wheels.

Maybe they need to do one of THESE ?

When wondering around a Dodge Dealer a few months ago I noted that even Durangos got SRT hoods. Look good on them, but as said, diminishes the uniqueness of real SRTs.
