I discovered early on that when I am shifting from 1st to 2nd if I apply pressure to the left on the gear shift as I pull the shifter back the tranny will go into 2nd gear with no problem.

2016 R/T 5.7 6 speed.........Does anyone that is old enough remember fedgov's f'ing around with emission and hp ratings back in the mid-70's? Compression ratios were cut and engines were bogged down with so much emissions junk that cars and trucks would hardly run. In their efforts to get better mpg the results went the opposite way. I had a then new '73 Ford Maverick auto tranny with 302 V8 motor. The hp had been cut to 140 and the car got 14 mpg city and 17 mpg highway at the fedgov imposed speed limit of 55 mph. The same car in '71 would have gotten half again the mpg without all of the emissions junk that fedgov mandates had installed on the motor. Burn more fuel to clean up the air? It was either '73 or '74 that one of the hot rod magazines reported the fastest new Chevy on the street was a half ton pickup with a 454 cid motor. The new Corvette with the 350 cid motor put out a whopping 140-150 hp. On a dragstrip the truck would outrun the Corvette. This was a sad day for Detroit iron all caused by fedgov messing around with American muscle. So much so that many car buyers turned to German and Japanese imports. This almost killed the domestic auto industry and turned Detroit into a near ghost town.

Let us remember that "they" work for us and we pay "them" a lot of money to treat us this way.

Received and installed my SkipShift Eliminator cable last night.

But first, of course, I have to try to figure out what they were doing.
Tried to ohm out the cable and noticed there were NO PINS in the one end.
Then checked the pins on the Black Connector that were there.
    36 ohms.
That is what it take to fool the computer to think the solenoid is still connected.

I did get the light to come on twice on the way into work today, and was able to smoothly shift into 2nd.
