This is funny but true. Don't run summer tires in the winter. It is dangerous and you are only asking for trouble.

I'm running All Seasons up here in Minnesota, with a couple of 40lb salt bags in the trunk. No problems.

Hopslayer, which kind of All Seasons are you running? I'm trying to find some good all seasons that won't make me get stuck again here in Michigan.

Tire Rack performs extensive tests on all tires. The highest rated all season tires are as follows:

    Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+
    Bridgestone Potenza RE 980AS
Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus
    Continental Extreme DWS-06

I'm running the Firestone Firehawks, as that's what came with the car and had only 4100 miles on them. My next set of tires will be the Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS. They're the highest rated all season tire I found.

Thanks guys! I was looking at those Blizzaks but I didn't really see any ratings for someone with a Challenger. I did alright the first few years I got my car but this last winter was a beast.

Aren't Blizzaks a winter only tire?

A Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 is not an all-season tire- it is strictly a winter tire. However, if you want maximum traction in snow and ice and are willing to switch tires over in the spring, buy them. I had them. They are excellent.

I agree with SRT-Tom on winter tires if you live anywhere around the north coast. I live just south of Cleveland, OH and we get a lot of lake effect snow. I opted to pull off my 20"wheels/tires and bought a set of Cooper Evolution winter tires and mounted them on a set of used Challenger 18" wheels I found online. I went with 235/55R18's to get a little narrower footprint then the 245/45ZR20's. Tire Rack also states that summer (and even all season) tires lose their effectiveness below 40 degrees F.
I've experiences driving on snow twice this month and the winter tires are definitely worth it.
