The tail light blackouts kill the reverse light output. Got this to make up for it. And yes it is that bright. Not the camera making it look so.

so is this something you put together yourself, or marketed by someone else?

    Nice :)

6 LEDs in a frame... makes quite a bit of difference for sure!
Especially helpful if you have dark tint on your windows, like you and I do

Are they on the license plate frame? Not a bad idea.

Looks like 6 LEDs on the top of the frame? I have my camera in the frame. My license plate light kills the image on my radio when it lights. I will put in a relay to turn it off when backing up with the lights on. This would be cool incorporated with the back up camera if the light wouldn't spill in the camera lens.

I thought those black out filters allowed the light to come through? Otherwise nobody could see you brake.

My camera is mounted up top near the frame as well, but in my case, the light is behind the camera so it is not an issue. You can almost see it. It is between the 2nd and 3rd LED in the frame
The tailight blackouts do let light through. This just adds more.

So did you tie into the rear lights wiring? Do it come with an instructions manual?
