For $6,000 dollars is this wide body option really worth it on the Scat Pack Challenger, Hellcat or Red Eye Challenger?

It takes up more room. 3.5 inches? As it is the Challenger is already large enough and to me it doesn't appeal to me cosmetically because it looks like they just added fender flares onto the car.

Space is precious in my garage so the regular size Challengers fit better and look better in appearance in my eyes.

I understand it is suppose to add stability in getting the power to the ground but also those larger tires will hydroplane more and cost alot more $$$$$$ at replacement time.:hmm:

Well it sounds like it definitely isn't worth it for you.

It is a bit pricey for what you get. You have to really like the looks of the wide body. I like it but not that much.
It's easy enough to fit 305 tires on the non-wide body.
I'd be more inclined to add the dynamics Package where I think your getting your $2200 worth in those brakes and wheels.

wide body is tasteful to some and not others. I can live without it. rather have other performance options than that.

I don't like the wide body option. Doesn't do anything for me!

Actually don't forget you also get that adaptive suspension with the wider tires which all makes for a better safer car getting the power to the ground and not being as squirrely of a car.

I don't like the looks of the added flares of the wide body but if it means getting t he power to the ground for a better performing and safer vehicle then I would go for a wide body Challenger in white color as it wouldn't show up as bad cosmetically. Now the question would be again, Scat Pack Challenger, Hellcat Challenger or Red Eye Challenger? Which Challenger?

To solve cosmetic problem get the wide body in white problem solved. Those added on flares don't look as bad. But t here is still the problem of debris and scratches damaging Challenger body by rocks/debris kicked up by wide tires.

I don't mind the flares, just the added price.
I think you could do much better than those 305 Pirelli summer tires to get the power to the ground. And for a lot less $$. White is not for me. I like colors that show a good shine. But now that you mention rocks/debris kicked up by wide tires, the flares would certainly help that. I have 275's with mud flaps and the tires still stick out at bottom enough to allow some stuff to hit fenders.

I like white because it's maintenance free and very forgiving on any kind of paint blemishes or needed touch ups. The color white also reflects heat from the sun which is just the opposite of black which absorbs heat and shows swirls n scratches so easy. My other car white in color 30 years old demonstrates this. But I love that White Challenger in the movie "Vanishing Point".

Yes I've had white cars. I think my silver mercury was the easiest to maintain.

Look closely at this video around 1:06
