About 500,000 Challengers have been built in the past 11 years. But, how many original 2008-2009 Challenger SRTs do you see on the road?

When I drive my Hemi-orange 2009 SRT, I never see these early models. I think there are three reasons for this.

    1. They are relatively rare- only 16,842 were built (7,262- 2008 and 9,580- 2009).
    2. Some are "garage queens."
    3. A few high mileage cars are now off the road.

Someone has to buy them. I have a 2009 SRT8 Black with 20,000 miles. Not trading for a hellcat it's getting a 426 and a SC eventually. I hate the dash in the new Challengers. It looks like my kids Dart. :)

    Wasn't there a 2010?

When I drove mine to the Dealer to pick up a part a salesman came out and never seen one lol

I will never sell my 2009 Hemi-orange SRT. I have added a lot of personal touches to the interior and engine bay. It is perfect for me and will stay in the family.

    Same here.
We rented a 2018 Chrysler 300 for our trip when we were out test driving Challengers this last summer, and the NEW Challengers dash looked the same as the 300 not a muscle car.
That was when I decided on the 2009-2014.
Could not have a 2008 as they didn't offer the 6-speed.

Crazy they have been out that long. I remember when they first were out and my brother-in-law got one. Loved it. I haven't seen one around in awhile either.

Too many electronics in the new ones. Fiat is messing up the old school look interior wise. I honestly wish they would discontinue it and go with the Cuda so they can screw up a different car....

Around here there are still quite a few of the 09 and 10's on the road. 2 or 3 of the 08 Challenger 500's on the road as well.

In my area 2008-9's seem to pop up during the spring and summer at cruise ins and car shows, but I agree that I see more of the 2015 and newer driving around. Last year I started to see these newer model R/T and SRT's getting replaced by Hellcats.
Oh yeah, thanks. Now every time I get in my '15 and look at the dash, I think about my daughter's white 2014 Dart Limited.
