    69 but still a kid at heart especially when driving my R/T Plus "Shaker".:)

    * Don't laugh. I did not how to open the trunk when I purchased the vehicle. My mother had to show me, 'can you believe that'?

    Yes, I too have to lift with both arms. Could those cylinders be undersized I wonder?

    Mine does the same! Mind you that it may be a good thing. I can count the times on two hands where my pocket depressed the trunk button on the FOB at home, the gym, a store. Good thing it still looks somewhat closed and nothing was taken.

    Thanks for the replies. Seems having to push the truck lid open is normal. Now that I’m using my Challenger as a daily driver some of this minor stuff I never noticed or cared about is starting to bug me.

    Here a caution to those who use a car cover (like me). Be careful not to accidentally press the trunk open button on the key fob. If this happens, your trunk light will be on and will, eventually, drain your battery. You won't notice that the trunk is open because it will only pop up a few inches under the cover.

    This happened to me. I didn't drive my car for a few days and I was shocked when it wouldn't start.

    Tip: If you enter a car show and want to keep the trunk lid open, slide the latch to the closed position with a screwdriver. This way, the bulb will not be on. Just remember to open the latch before you close the trunk lid. An alternative, would be to install a trunk light switch.

    i want to say that the trunk light as well as the door lights eventually shut off about 2-3 minutes if left open. I leave my trunk open at car shows all the time (about 5-6 hours) and I never had a battery problem, I have also left it unlocked over night(trunk closed but not shut) and no problems with batter the next day. I have puddle lights in the doors for night shows, but they only stay on for about 2-3 minutes.

    I have a 2009 Challenger. The trunk light does not go off after 2-3 minutes.
